I'm taking my daughters to Spain, and I want you to come along!

I am excited to share with you some very exciting news about a new show that is premiering on Discovery+ on December 27th. You know, I’ve done a lot of TV before but nothing like this…this is a show that is very personal for me because it’s about eating my way around Spain, a place that lives deep in my soul, with three people who are very special to me…my daughters Carlota, Inés, and Lucía. It’s called José Andrés & Family in Spain.

As you may know, I came to this country three decades ago and my daughters were born here in America, so I know they love Spain but maybe they don’t know as much as I thought they did, with a dad like me who is as crazy about Spanish food as I am! 

I’ve always said, to get to know Spain you have to get to understand its food, and that’s what I will be sharing with my girls and with you on this show. During the series I’ll be taking my daughters to meet chefs, food makers, and many old friends who will help us explore the treasures of a country famous for its culture of cooking and eating. Together we will eat our way through Spain…famous tapas like pan con tomate and patatas bravas in the famous cities of Barcelona and Madrid…but also lesser known foods found in Valencia, Andalucía, Lanzarote, and in my birthplace of Asturias (a place where, to be honest, one of my daughters thought she would not be so impressed but she ended up loving it!)
