In hospitality and meetings, I've wanted to see the inside of the Old Post Office for so long and could not morally do so. Now you're there and the hotel is other-owned and managed, we will go. The restaurant, alas, is booked solid and because I use a mobility device, I can only be on level one and near where I can park. I hope at some point to be able to get a reservation. It is a wonderful addition to our n'hood that is yours as well and for all that we are kvelling!

I love this--especially how you so graciously mentioned the hotel had "previous owners." For that comment alone, I am sending another check to World Kitchens. Sir, you do such good work. When do you sleep?

"Previous owners". Chef Andres is a class act. I love the guy and WCK id one of my only three that I routinely donate to. The other two are St. Jude and No Kid Hungry. Chef Andres is a "rock Star".

I agree. Besides being a great chef, charming tv host, and family man, he practically feeds the world. When does he sleep?

I worked in the Old Post Office for almost 30 years when the National Endowment for the Humanities, the National Endowment for the Arts, and other federal cultural organizations were there. I am thrilled that it is now a Waldort-Astoria hotel and, especially, that you now have a restaurant there. I can’t wait to eat there. Congratulations.

So great it's finally happened! Unfortunately, it looks like we'll have to wait til next year to experience your Bazaar. Reservations are not available in the foreseeable future.

My favorite was the Dragonfruit Ceviche. My husband loved the Philly Cheese Steak.

I love seeing the metal trusses being incorporared into the restaurant.

Nancy Hanks is also looking down on this and smiling.

She was the founder and Director of the National Endowment for the Arts and she went to bat against the City of DC and the Congress to preserve the building and prevent it from being torn down by offering to move the headquarters of the NEA and NEH there. She won.

There used to be a small exhibit in the hall of the Tower explaining all of this - I hope it is still there.

View from the Tower of the Old Post Office Building is pretty awesome.

The Waldorf Astoria Group will take care of this historic building as a new and proper owner.

Dear Chef Andres - Gracias! for opening your restaurant in this Historic Landmark.

I cannot wait to dine there!

Your are an ambassador for the wonderful mix of cultures in DC and for the whole world!

I'm so happy and excited that you finally got one open in this, one of my favorite buildings! I can't wait to go, but I haven't been able to get a reservation all the way into May! Hoping something opens up soon. Congratulations Chef!

My husband drove across town to get to The Bazaar in Los Angeles. It was the best experience and still remember the gazpacho. Anxiously awaiting the closer one in DTLA. We were celebrating my birthday.

When I was a child my father's FBI Office was in the Old Post Office. For as long as I can remember the building has been a part of my lifelong memories. I am so excited to see this next chapter and I'm counting the minutes until I can get to your new spot!
