Peruvian food is the best! I'm from the UK originally and have been living in Lima for the past three years. One of my favourite things about Peruvian food is how they use it as part of their everyday language, too. For example, Papaya = Easy. It's hilarious. My husband has a t-shirt which says 'Cual es tú Cau Cau' on it. If you know, you know!
Thank you very much for sharing this! I grew up having these dishes at home and now we try to cook them when we can for our family, friends when we have the opportunity, I will add one more to the list, pan con pejerrey arrebozado which a smelt fish if I’m not mistaken cut in half dip in a sauce and then dip into hot oil and served immediately with a baguette style bread which is a more crunchier type of bread in Peru, sometimes with salsa criolla or not, in summer with a cold beer “al polo” or Inka kola or chicha morada, amazing taste! I could eat four of those sanguches in one seating! Thanks again! Bendiciones!
Jose, thanks for bringing back information on Peruvian food. The flavor is exquisite. It's fun to see how many taste buds you can bring to life with your different recipes. Thanks for always educating us to new adventures. You are the best ❤️❤️❤️

I *must* make Huancaina - - the combination sounds like a spiced Heaven

First, Thanks for all you do to make the world a better place! You are appreciated! 🙏🏾💕
I am headed to Portugual soon to slow down, enjoy the food and enjoy friends who recently relocated there!
