Why don't women run the world?
Two amazing women, Nancy Pelosi and Ana Navarro, sit at my Longer Table and show why it might just be a good idea
I don’t know about you people, but when I have a new cookbook come out, I like to throw a massive party. As my loyal readers know, my new cookbook, Zaytinya, was published in March. And so to celebrate, we all gathered at the Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C. There was a giant pan of paella, Mediterranean wines…and star guests, to record a live version of my podcast.
My first guest hails from Baltimore—and she eats ice cream for breakfast. Oh, and she was also the first woman elected as U.S. House Speaker and the first woman to lead a major political party in either chamber of Congress. Yes, it was Speaker of the House Emerita Nancy Pelosi!
My second guest was Ana Navarro, my friend and co-host of ABC's "The View.” She has a lot to say about food and politics (including the man who is going to be her party’s presidential nominee). She even brought her dog to the show — and let me feed him.
It was a wild night. Join me, won’t you?
I was there best night ever thank you Jose. You are the best!!!
Wish I could have seen that!
