Hello, friends! Is it really March already? It may still be winter in many parts of the country, but I think we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and spring is just around the corner. And of course with the change of seasons, we will say “see you in a little while” to some ingredients and welcome new ones. I have a lot of amazing spring recipes to share with you in the next few weeks, but first I want to say thank you to the citrus fruits that get us through the winter (and before we say goodbye to citrus, I’ll be sharing a classic end-of-winter endive and citrus salad from Jaleo in the next week or two)!

Spain is famous for oranges, and Naranjas con Canela, or oranges with cinnamon, is a simple dessert that you can find in Spain this time of year. It’s an amazing flavor pairing that makes so much sense—the sweetness of the oranges balances the warm spice of the cinnamon, and it comes together with a little sweet and savory finish.

You could serve the plate as a simple and quick dessert after a big meal, or as a side with your brunch (I’m confident that it would go well with a glass of Cava!).
