Dominique Crenn is a rock star!
Raise a glass to America's first female three-starred Michelin chef
The only thing to do when you have the privilege of sitting down with Dominique Crenn is to open a bottle of wine. A good one, worthy of Dominique and all she has accomplished.
Dominique, if you don’t know her, is the chef-owner of Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, a THREE-star Michelin restaurant that serves elegant, exquisite dishes that exist nowhere else on the planet. Dishes like razor clam with carrot foam and velvety black squid ink.
If her food sounds poetic, it is. (Maybe that’s why they chose her to consult on the food for the new hit movie, The Menu!) But Dominique is anything but precious. She’s funny, profane, and deeply empathetic. As you’ll hear on the podcast, she has worked tirelessly to help the homeless in San Francisco. And, here’s my favorite fact: As a young woman, she was inspired to come to America by…the 1970s TV show, Starsky and Hutch!
Really, and this is the only way to say it: Dominique is a total rock star!
When I sat down with Dominique recently to tape this episode of Longer Tables, I opened a bottle of 2019 Pazo Barrantes Albariño. It’s from Galicia, made by one of my favorite producers Vicente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga. So grab a bottle (or open something you love) and tune in!
J'adore, Chef!!!
Congratulations!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏well deserved!!
